Impact Bridges Group is often described as a professional service firm and as an intermediary or umbrella organization in support of social development programs. We work with partners who take an evidence-based approach to designing and managing programs and want to continually find new ways of improving performance and outcome-based results. The following are some of the partners IBG is working with and who exhibit these characteristics:
Practical Education Network
Project: Science, Technology, Engineering, & Mathematics (STEM)
The PEN program has a special emphasis on the challenges of STEM education in the developing world - large class sizes, scarce material resources, and the novelty of interactive pedagogies. Since its beginnings in Ghana in 2014, PEN has been consistently finding innovative means of improving its work and continually measuring performance and validating its assumptions. As IBG, we encourage you to donate directly to PEN, but to also consider donating to IBG who wants to work with PEN on developing the business case and term sheet, to bring on board social impact investors, to further develop the work in Ghana and taking it to new Sub-Saharan African countries.
Project: Workplace Preparedness Training
IBG is working with PROCOM, a partner in Rwanda, to provide job training to help local professional candidates secure employment with existing local business. PROCOM not only provides the training, but also makes sure the business is providing quality jobs which remunerate employees with a living wage that is sufficient income to afford a decent standard of living, provision of basic benefits such as health insurance, provides for career building opportunities, and has a fair and engaging workplace. IBG is working with PROCOM to further engage with the hiring business and trained employees to better understand how to further improve outcomes that often go beyond the workplace. PROCOM began working in Rwanda in 2008.
Please contact Impact Bridges Group for information on these and other opportunities.
